What Happens After I’m Approved?
Our monthly plans and other CACFP project services are designed to bridge any gaps following your application approval. With our support, you can manage your CACFP contract with confidence – without compromising program integrity.
Eligibility Requirements:
Clients must have registered for and completed our Pre-Application Financial Review service.
To offer this valuable service at an affordable rate, the total project cost is divided into 4 equal installments that correspond to the 4 x project stages as shown below. Note that the start of stages 1-4 will occur within approximately a 45-day period following project registration. There is a discount offered for those who make a 1-time payment for the complete project at the time of signup.
Installment Payments
- Payment #1 Due: At registration (Stage 1 – Prequalification)
- Payment #2 Due: Start of Stage 2 (Prep). We only bill for Stage 2 if you successfully complete Stage 1.
- Payment #3 Due: Start of Stage 3 (Submission) or upon Stage 2 expiration, if applicable.
- Payment #4 Due: Start of Stage 4 (Pre & Final Approval) or upon Stage 3 expiration, if applicable.
1. Why is the Pre-Application Financial Review service required before I can register for the CACFP Application project service?
The official CACFP application process includes a preliminary stage referred to as a “Financial Viability Review.” Prior to proceeding with an application in TX-UNPS, applicants are first required to demonstrate financial viability by submitting a packet of financial documentation.
By reviewing all the documentation an applicant would be required to submit in this official step, we can help you ensure that your organization’s financial documentation appears to meet the initial criteria before proceeding with the application project. If the information doesn’t meet the criteria, we can help you understand why and make some recommendations based on your unique situation.
2. How long does the application process take?
Depending on the response times by the agency official who is assigned to review your application, the process can take 30-60 days. We do everything we can on our end to expedite the process wherever possible. If we work together to expedite our responses on both ends, the only remaining delays may occur du
3. How will I know what information I need?
We’ll help you understand what is needed, when, and why. We’ll offer you guidance and support in the preparation of some information. Our goal is to help you feel comfortable that your management plan, program budget, and related records are appropriate for your circumstances.
4. Who determines the length of each project stage?
Each project stage has a predetermined maximum timeline and a milestone deadline established by CACFP Solutions. Our service is designed to accelerate your journey to CE approval. After all, every month that you remain sponsored, you’re losing money and giving up the freedom to control your own program!
5. How long is each project stage?
Currently the timelines associated with each stage are as published below.
- Phase 1 (Collection): 10 days total
- 5 days to submit all initial docs + 5 days for final acceptance of all docs.
- Phase 2 (Preparation): 10 days total
- Phase 3 (Submission): 5 days total
- Phase 4 (Pre-Approval): 21 days total (may vary due to official agency response times).
At the start of each project, you will be given access to a customer portal that clearly shows you the planned start date for each phase of the project.
6. When can I expect to receive a response after submitting information to you?
We guarantee a response within 3 business days. We do our best to reply within 36 hours or less to expedite things for you.
7. How long do I have to submit requested information?
Initial prequalification docs in Stage 1 are due within 5 calendar days of the project start date. Outside of that deadline, we ask that you respond to any requests for information or documents within 3 business days.
8. If my project expires during one of the stages, will I receive a refund for that project stage fee?
Our sincere goal is to help you complete the entire application process on time. The only way a project will expire is if we haven’t received timely responses from your team to requests made by our team. For that reason, no refunds will be given if a project expires.
9. I’m already working on my CACFP application independently. Can I book hourly consultations to only get help as needed?
We’ve learned through experience that without a full picture of your application materials and the process, it’s difficult to have a deep understanding of all the “moving parts” that may impact your application results. For this reason, we don’t offer hourly consultations to CE applicants unless the applicant is an existing project client who simply needs additional time with a program advisor.
10. Can I use the application project service without using your monthly services?
No. We reserve space to offer project support only for clients who intend to use our monthly services. application project service is only available We’ve learned through experience that without a full picture of your application materials and the process, it’s difficult to have a deep understanding of all the “moving parts” that may impact your application results.
