Adding or Removing a Meal Service? Update TX-UNPS Application First
The meals you can claim are tied to what’s approved on your TX-UNPS application. If a meal isn’t listed there, you can’t claim it — even if you served it.
When you need to update TX-UNPS
- Adding a meal (e.g., starting to serve Supper)
- Removing a meal you no longer serve
- Changing the time of an existing meal service
How to start the update
👉 Book a call to update your TX-UNPS application
In the booking note, include:
- What you’re changing
- The effective date
- Any meals you’ve already served this month that aren’t on your current application
The order of operations
- You update your application in TX-UNPS and submit it to TDA
- TDA reviews and approves the change (typically 1–3 weeks)
- We update MyFoodCloud to match your new TX-UNPS settings — only after TDA approval
We can’t update MyFoodCloud until TDA has approved the TX-UNPS change. If MFC and TX-UNPS don’t match, your claim won’t process correctly.
Meals served before the update is approved
If you served a meal that isn’t on your current TX-UNPS application, it’s generally not reimbursable. We may be able to file a retroactive amendment with TDA, but approval isn’t guaranteed — book a call quickly so we can submit the request.
