How do I update or change my menu in the system?
Good question! Here’s a helpful article on how you can make menu changes in MFC.

Can I adjust menus for specific months (e.g., August through October)?
Yes! You can plan and update menus for multiple months at once. Send us the updated menus, let us know the dates you want them for, and we will set them up for the requested time.

What if I need help with menu ideas or breakfast information?
Ask Celia, our AI Chatbot, for sample menus or breakfast ideas tailored to CACFP guidelines.


2. Menu Approval & Analysis

Do menus need to be approved before serving?
Yes, menus should be reviewed for CACFP compliance before serving to ensure all components are complete and meet requirements. Submit your new or updated menus to us for analysis, and we’ll let you know if any changes are needed.

What do I do if I receive a “Menu Analysis Completed – Response Required” notice?
Review the feedback provided, make any necessary corrections, and resubmit your menu for final approval. We’ll let you know when you’re all set!


3. Meal Production & Daily Counts

How do I record daily meal counts and attendance?
Great question! Here’s a step-by-step help article & video to guide you. 

How do I correct a meal production sheet?
Go to the Daily Meal Production Records section in your MyFoodCloud account, select the incorrect entry date and meal service, and edit as needed. Save your changes and double-check the information.


4. CN Labels & Ingredient Lists

What are CN Labels and when do I need them?
CN (Child Nutrition) Labels are required for certain processed foods (like corn dogs, meatballs, or classic brand items) to verify they meet CACFP meal pattern requirements. Always keep a copy of the CN Label for each qualifying product you serve. Make sure it is approved and not expired according to the USDA CN Label Verification Report.

How can I check if a CN Label is still approved? 

View the USDA CN label verification report or type the CN Label number in our AI chatbox along with “CN label verification”—we’ll check its approval status for you.

How do I request or upload CN Labels?
You can upload CN Labels directly through your MyFoodCloud account or send them to our team for verification. If you need help locating a CN Label, contact us with the product name and brand.

What about ingredient lists and nutrition facts?
Keep ingredient lists and nutrition facts for all foods, especially for menu reviews or if requested during an audit/administrative review. You can upload these documents or send them with your menu review.


5. Infant Menus & Feeding Forms

How do I handle infant menus and daily meal production records?
Complete infant daily meal production records and update menus for infants separately, as their meal patterns are different. Make sure to include details about milks, formulas, and snacks for each infant. Step-by-step instructions are here. 

How do I resolve issues with infant milk, snacks, or ounces?
If you’re experiencing issues entering or tracking infant milk/snack amounts, double-check the portion sizes and entry format. 


6. Menu Issues & Troubleshooting

What should I do if I have trouble updating a specific menu component (e.g., bread, milk, snack)?
Check for missing or incorrect data fields in the MyFoodCloud Daily Meal Production Record tab. If the issue persists, reach out to us with the details so we can walk you through the correction or make the update for you.

How do I substitute an item on my menu (e.g., replace nacho cheese sauce or find a snack substitute)?
You can use the Daily Meal Production Record tab in your MyFoodCloud account to make substitutions using our dropdown database list. Step-by-step instructions for this are here. Contact our team if you do not see the substitution you are looking for. We can add desired food items to the dropdown list if it is in compliance, or suggest alternatives and update your menu as needed.

How do I get a menu calendar template or sample menus?
Request a template or sample menus from our team. We provide rotating menus and customizable templates to help you stay compliant.
